Sabina Emma Beyer (Boyer) Heckard was a daughter of Joseph Boyer and Frances Marion (Snider) Boyer Drumm. She is their 2nd of four children and oldest of their two daughters. Sabina's siblings, in order, are older brother Elkanah Byer, buried in St. Paul Cemetery, Perry County, Ohio; sister, Ann Mariah (Beyer) Carnrike, buried in Elm Creek Cemetery, Marshall County, Kansas; brother Solomon Levi Beyer, buried in Somerset Methodist Cemetery, Perry County, Ohio. Sabina is believed to have first been married to a man with the last name of Binkley. They had a daughter, Sarah Frances (Binkley) Poor. Sabina married Daniel Heckard June 3, 1866 in Perry County, Ohio. They had two daughters: Rebecca Alice and Rughina; and four sons: Joseph, Perry (Percy), Eli Allen, and Melitus Valentine Heckard. Daniel preceded her in death April 11, 1899 and is buried in Fairmont Cemetery, Blue Rapids, Kansas.
