John Osborne
Birth: 1844
Death: Apr. 23, 1920

US Navy Peacetime Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he served as a Seaman in the United States Navy. On August 21, 1876, while serving on the U.S.S. Juniata docked at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Seaman Osborne rescued an enlisted man from drowning after falling over board. For gallant conduct, he was awarded the Medal of Honor on August 26, 1876. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
