CHARLES GORDON DAULEY, 86, Holly Hill, a retired quality control engineer for IBM, died Thursday.

Charles Gordon Dauley was a Pilot with the U.S. Army Air Corps; 12th Air Force; 57th Bombardment Wing; 310th Bombardment Group; 381st Bombardment Squadron; flying B-25 Mitchel Medium Bomber Aircraft; stationed in the
Mediterranean Theater of Operations (MTO) during WW II.

Charles Gordon Dauley, 86, of Holly Hill, Fla., died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 at Bishop s Glen Nursing Facility. He was born on Dec. 15, 1920 in Binghamton, N. Y. He was the son of the late Charles and Violet Dauley of Whitney Point, N.Y. He was preceded in death by two wives, Joanne Keefe Dauley and Lois Carrie Dauley.

Mr. Dauley was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving during WWII. During that time in the service he flew B-25 s and was an instructor pilot. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Major. He began his work with IBM and worked as a quality control engineer. He also worked in the control room on the Apollo Space Missions.

Mr. Dauley was a life member of the American Legion Post 974, Whitney Point, N.Y., Boy Scout Leader and American Red Cross instructor. He was an avid reader and loved to hunt.

Surviving Mr. Dauley are his son, Jim and Ruth Dauley of Lewisburg; stepdaughter Cheryl and Edwin Garlick of Edgewater, Fla.; stepson Gary and Elaina Wykoff of New Smyrna Beach, Fla; three grandchildren, Charles and Tammy
Dauley of Russellville, Mike and Misty Dauley of Lewisburg and Patricia and Todd Raymer of Auburn; two great-grandchildren, Gavin Lane Dauley of Lewisburg and CJ Raymer of Auburn; two step-great- grandchildren, Allie and Colby Blythe of Russellville; brother Ken and Eloise Dauley of Whitney Point, N.Y.; sister, Genevieve Kluckus of Johnson City, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were handled by Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Service, New Smyrna Beach, Fla. Entombment was as Sea Pines Mausoleum.

The family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or Lewisburg's Library Books to Go, Kay Whitson, 204 S. Main Street, Lewisburg, Ky. 42256.
