| Birth: | 1830 | | Death: | Apr. 8, 1857 |  Crimean War Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Private in the 57th Middlesex Regiment, British Army. On June 23, 1855, at Sebastopol, Crimea, Private McCorrie threw over the parapet a live shell which had been thrown from the enemy's battery, saving the lives of his squad.
