Burnettown - William Okley Smith, 67, of Kembel Street, died Sunday in an Augusta hospital.
Funeral services will take place tomorrow at 4 p.m. in Burnettown First Baptist Church with the Revs. Hoyt Murray and L.H. Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Langley Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was a native of Johnson County, Ga., and was a roofing contractor. He was a member of Burnettown First Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his widow, Sadie Josey Smith, Burnettown; four daughters, Cleo Free, Langley; Mrs. Lea Osbon, Aiken, Joan Keenan, Warrenville, and Mollie Faye Talbert, North Augusta; four sons, Bobby W. Smith, Gloverville, Arthur Wayne Smith, James H. Smith and Jackie L. Smith, Langley; seven sisters, Velma Riner, Ocala, Fla., Addie Mae Josey, Davisboro, Ga., Addie Bell Wiggins, Gainesville, Fla., Willa Grizzard and Margarett Hattaway, Bath, Estille Hodges, Aiken, and Nellie Jackson, Italy; one stepsister, Alene Williams, Dublin, Ga.; five brothers, James M. Smith, Burnettown, Samuel K. Smith, Carl A. Smith, and Billy R. Smith, Langley, and Grover Smith, Augusta; one stepbrother, Fred Bush, Macon, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Osbon, Tony Smith, Larry Smith, Jimmy Keenan, Randy Witcher and Terry Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be men of Burnettown First Baptist Church.
Friends may call at the residence or at Posey's Funeral Home, Langley, until 3 p.m. Wednesday.
