Ruby Jewell Rigdon, 77, Glasgow, passed away, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow. The Barren County native was the daughter of the late Arthur and Louie Hughes. She was a member of Basil Chapel United Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Elmer Rigdon, Glasgow; three sons, Freddy Rigdon (Wanda), Glasgow, Tim Rigdon (Laura), Summer Shade, Keith Rigdon, Belton, TX; six grandchildren; Leslie Springston (Eric), Hilarie Rigdon, Coy Rigdon, Matthew Rigdon, Sarah Rigdon, Devan Rigdon; two great-grandchildren, Lela & Graham Springston; two sisters, Beatrice Firkins (Jude), Katherine London (Jack); a brother, Jimmy Hughes (Bonnie); a sister-in-law, Jo Hughes and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Herschel Hughes and her children, Brenda Charlene and Samuel Steven.
Funeral services will be at 1 PM Friday, June 24th at Basil Chapel United Baptist Church with burial in the Cave City Cemetery.
