Son of Josiah Oliver Wolcott, Sr. and Mary Rebecca Fooks Wolcott.

Husband of Margaret A. Parry Wolcott.

Josiah, who resided in Dover, Delaware, served as a First Officer with the tug ST-511, U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II.

He was "Lost At Sea" when his tug capsized and sank during a storm of the coast of France during World War II.

He had served in the Merchant Marines for nine months at the time of his death.
