Both Sarah and William were originally from Anson Co NC.

James parents were Sion & Mildred "Milly" [White] Pritchard, also of Houston Co TX. His parent died between 1848/1850, as Ja and his siblings are now living with their Grand Parents, Stephen and Nancy White, in Houston Co. In 1860 they are living with their Uncle Levi & Sarah White, who are next door to the Grandparents.

He had for following known siblings:
Mary J, Melissa Ann, Levina Elizabeth, Nancy, and Sarah A Pritchard.

The grand parents were originally assigned guardianship, by court decision in Houston Co TX.

It appears after the Civil War, the families scattered around east Texas, the fates of Mary J and sister Nancy is still unknown at this time. The cause of their parents deaths are also unknown and their burial sites. There was several desease out breaks in this area, that reduced the populations considerably in the 1840's, especially, in Walker and parts of Houston Co., the families lived close to the border between the two, before other counties were created in later years.

James father Sion, was a soldier in the Texas Revolution, he also signed a petition with other relatives, to form the county of Houston, not to be confused with Houston in Harris Co... Texas emigration records list Sion as arriving in 1836, in what was then, Mustang Prairie, later Houston Co. His parents moved from Lowndes Co AL, with his father in laws family, Stephen White.
