Mrs. Rhoda Valree "Scrap" Crawford Walker, 84 of Patterson, passed away Saturday morning, September 15, 2012, at her residence.
Born in Blackshear on April 9, 1928, she had lived in Pierce County all of her life. Mrs. Walker was a sewing machine operator having worked with the Spatola Shoe Factory and retired from Julie Hat Company in 1989. She was a member of Offerman Baptist Church.
Mrs. Walker was a daughter of the late Reuben Beal & Lessie Harper Crawford. She was also preceded in death by a sister and all four of her brothers.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Laura W. Smith and Mary Nell & Terry Herrin all of Patterson; three sisters, Tonnie (Herb) Carr and Geneva Murphy all of Waycross and Hazel (Cecil) Cabler of Jacksonville; 3 grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Tyre, Eric (Marla) Herrin, and Clay (Lisa) Herrin; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
