Otis Alfred Croghan was born December 20, 1884 in Arkdale, Adams county, Wisconsin to Peder Olsen Croghan and Pernille Persdatter (Dahl) Croghan.
He had seven siblings total, three known sisters are; Olena "Lena" (Croghan) Juve, Marie (Croghan) Bue and Nora A. Croghan.
Otis married Mary Linn "Mayne" Hench on October 30, 1912. She was the daughter of Rev. William Ross Hench and Eudora Eliza "Dora" (Murphy) Hench.
They became the parents to four children; Virginia Ruth Croghan, Dorothy Marie Croghan, Robert Hench Croghan and Donald Linn Croghan.
Otis died in 1984 and was buried in the Byron Cemetery in Byron, Ogle county, Illinios.
