On August 17, 1947 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Williams and to this union four children were born.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Kinder, Artemus; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Blevins and Miss Faye Kinder both of Barbourville; two sons, Mr. Roy Kinder, Atlanta, Ga.; and Mr. James Charles Kinder, Artemus; four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Abner, Wallins, Creek; Mrs. Myrtle Ross, Danville; and Mrs. Effie Smith and Mrs. Rosa Smith both of Barbourville; two brothers, Mr. Edgar Kinder, Centerville, Ind. and Mr George Kinder, Artemus.
Mr. Kinder also leaves a hot of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were conducted at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on November 28, 1971 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. A. S. Marsee and Rev. John Partin officiating. Interment was in the Howard Cemetery at Artemus, with the Hopper Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were friends and neighbors.
