| Birth: | Aug. 9, 1829 | | Death: | Jan. 17, 1911 |  Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served during the Civil War as a Private in Company D, 90th New York Volunteer Infantry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at the Battle of Cedar Creek, Virginia on October 19, 1864. His citation reads "While the enemy were in close proximity, this soldier sprang forward and bore off in safety the regimental colors, the color bearer having fallen on the field of battle".
