Joan M. Curran Fuhst Grutzmacher, 73, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at Prescott Samaritan Village, Prescott. She was born Sept. 19, 1932, the daughter of James and Nora (McCann) Curran.

Joan was a faithful and devout Christian who sang in the choir at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Prescott.

She was also a volunteer for People Who Care and at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. Joan worked at the IBM Corporation in New York for 24 years as a data services manager.

Survivors include her husband, Ted; sons, Steve, Cliff & Terry; step-daughters, Paula, Gail and Janet; step-son, Carl; sister, Nora; 3 grandsons, Joshua, Chris and Jeremy; 3 step-grandons, Joshua, Tyler and Ryan; and 1 step-granddaughter, Jennifer.

Joan was always there for friends, family, and even people she just met, always extending a warm, sincere Irish smile. She is now with her family in God's paradise, where we will join her in God's time.

Visitation was Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott, Ariz.

A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott, Ariz.

The family requests that donations be made in Joan's memory to People Who Care, 505 W. Gurley St., Prescott, Ariz., 86301.

Hampton Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
