Frank Honkomp Takes His Own Life By Hanging

Kills Himself at His Farm Near Worthington; Had Acted Queerly

Frank Honkomp, 62 years old, ended his life by hanging in a garage in the rear of his farm home, one and a half miles south of Worthington, shortly after 9 o'clock Sunday morning.

The body, still warm, was discovered by Mrs. Honkomp. She called one of her sons, Gregor, who cut the double strand binder twine on which the body was suspended from a rafter.

Coroner Al Didesch expressed the belief that Honkomp had been hanging only for about five minutes when his body was found. The coroner also said that Honkomp had been acting queerly for some time past and was believed to have been demented.

He was born in New Vienna and resided in Dubuque county all his life. Surviving relatives are his widow; two sons, Gregor, at home, and Lawrence, Dyersville; three daughters, Mrs. Theresa SingSank of Belgrade, Minn., Mrs. Anton Lehman, of Farley, and Clara, at home.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's church, Worthington, at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning.
