| Birth: | Mar. 19, 1878 | | Death: | Dec. 6, 1957 |  World War I Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Private in the 7th Battalion, British Columbia Regiment, Canadian Expeditionary Force. On the dates of August 15 to 17, 1917, Private O'Rourke was a stretcher-bearer in actions at Len, France. During the this period, he worked dressing wounds, carrying wounded, getting them food and water while under constant enemy fire.
