Egbert O. Bannon Price, 85, Knob Noster, died Tuesday, July 30, 1991, at St. Luke's Hospital, K.C.

He was born Nov 18, 1905 in LaMonte, the son of Morgan Milton Price and Sallie Byrd O'Bannon Price.

He married Martha Chevalier on Sept 8, 1938, and she survives. Mr. O'Bannon was a lifetime resident of the LaMonte and Knob Noster areas.

He was a Navy veteran of WWII, serving in the south Pacific Theater.

He was an agent for the Standard Oil Co. and had worked for the Knob Noster Oil Co. He was an officer of the Ozark Water Co. and retired in 1978.

He was a member of the Knob Noster Presbyterian Church and was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4195 and American Legion Post 16, of Sedalia.

Survivors include his wife, Martha, of the home; a son, David M. Price, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a daughter, Sally A. Prince, Knob Noster, three sisters, Mary Williams, Oklahoma City, OK; Jane Glasscock, Tulsa, OK. and Annie Wills of Sedalia; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services wil be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 2, at the Moore Funeral Home, LaMonte, with the Rev. Robert Kessler officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in the LaMonte Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Joe Patrick, Roy Thomas, Harland Boosinger, Ronnie Corbett, Charlie Chevalier and Gale Yocum.

Honorary pallbearers are Frank Donath, Sam Thurston, Kelly Neitzert, Don Duffer, Boyd Suiter, J.C. Courter, Kenneth Smiley, Owen Russell, James Ripley and A. J. Peterman.

The family suggest memorial contributions to Children's Mercy Hospital or a charity of choice.
