Everett O. Ethredge
Everett O. Ethredge, a Redmond resident for 14 years, died Oct. 17 at Central Oregon District Hospital. He was 77.
Memorial services were held Oct. 20 at Redmond Elks Lodge, and Oct. 21 at Evergreen Chapel in Vancouver, Wash, with the Vancouver Masonic Service Bureau officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver.
Mr. Ethredge was born July 10, 1914, the son of Ora and Anna Metzner Ethredge. On Jan 3, 1942, in Olympia, Wash., he married Lois Robinson, who survives in Redmond.
Mr. Ethredge served in the US Army during World War II.
Mr. Ethredge was a life member of Masonic Lodge No. 154 of Redmond, a member of Royal Arch Masons No. 33, Redmond Elks lodge No. 2590, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4108, Diabled American Veterans No. 14, Ray Johnson American Legion Post No. 44, and the Society of 3rd Infantry Division Outpost No. 63 in Tacoma, Wash.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ethredge is survived by a son, Michael Ethredge of Bellevue, Wash; two daughters, Bonnie Odem of Vancouver, and Debbie Sappenfield of Seattle; a sister, Bessie Perry of Spokane Wash.; a brother Ralph Ethredge of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
Memorial gifts may be made to Oregon Elks Eye Clinic, Casey Eye Institute, 3181 SW Sam Jackson Park Rd., Portland, 97201 to be donated to Southeast Room No. 5220 for equipment; or to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 3101 SW Sam Jackson Park Rd, Portland 97201.
