Service: Jonathan Hunting enlisted as a private in Capt. Samuel Kelton's Co., of Col. Jonathan Paterson's regiment, from Needham, Mass. for five months; also in Capt. Aaron Smith1s Co., Col. Benjamin Gill's regiment for three months. He marched from Dedham to Providence, R.I. and from there to Tarrytown on the Hudson. Went to Morristown, N.J. and joined Gen. Warren's regiment. At end of enlistment was discharged and went home.
