MARION - Mrs. Minnie Evelyn Coleman Atkinson, 80, widow of Boyd Atkinson Sr., died Thursday at a Marion hospital.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Smith Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Reedy Creek Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Atkinson was a daughter of the late Griffin D. Coleman and Elizabeth Bryant Coleman.

Surviving are two sons, Boyd Atkinson Sr. and Robert Atkinson, both of Marion; three sisters, Mrs. R. H. Baxley of Marion, Mrs. Lester Smith and Mrs. Mollie Atkins, both of Lake City; and three brothers, Zack Coleman of Marion, Dwight Coleman of Rains and Sam Coleman of Georgetown.
