RAINS - Mrs. Clara Smith Alford, 69, wife of Eugene Alford, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Reedy Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, directed by Smith Brothers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alford was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late George and Lettie Spivey Smith. She was a member of the Reedy Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of Rains; two daughters, Mrs. Muriel Buckmaster of Sarasota, Fla. and Mrs. Rosalee Mouzon of Charleston; four sons, Smith Alford of Laurinburg, N.C., Aubrey Alford of Cordele, Ga., Tommy Alford of Lafayette, La., and Jerry Alford of Charleston; and 13 grandchildren.
