BOWERS--Irma P. Bowers, 55, of 1240 E. Market St. died this morning in a local hospital. She was a native of Box Creek, Utah, and had lived in Long Beach since 1923. She was a member of North Long Beach Ward of the Latter-day Saints Church. She was a former president of the Relief Society of the church. She was for many years ward organist. She is survived by the widower, Charles H.; sons, Charles of Long Beach, J. Page of China Lake and Leland A. of Long Beach; daughter Mrs. Irma Marjorie Remy of Long Beach; and sisters, Mrs. Mary L. Brown of Sharon, Utah, and Mrs. Ione Black of Grove River, California. Service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Latter-day Saints Church, 361 E. Plymouth St., Bishop Vern S. Handy officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park. Spongberg Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
