John Sr. RIPLEY was baptised 14d 8m 1621 in Moulton, Lincolnshire, England the son of the emigrant William RIPLEY & his first wife Katherine Elizabeth (BANKS) RIPLEY, who died in England. Like his father, John chose to settle in Hingham, Plymouth Co, Massachusetts. He married there 3d 2m 1653/54 Elizabeth HOBART, daughter of Rev. Peter & Elizbaeth (IBROOK) HOBART. They were the parents of seven children. Notice that John died on the very day of their 30th wedding anniversary.
