Mrs. Chester A. Kirby
Forreston, Ill., July 5, -- Mrs. Chester A. Kirby, 66, of Forreston died at 1 a.m. today in Freeport hospital where she had been a patient since Monday. She had been in ill health for several years after a fall in which her hip was fractured.
The former Sarah Ray was born Nov. 23, 1883, in Emery, Ill. Her marriage to Chester Kirby took place in January, 1908. The couple had spent about 20 years in Forreston. Mrs. Kirby belonged to the Evangelical United Brethren church here.
Surviving are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. E. A. Frantz of Hammond, Ind., and Mrs. Lola Seaver of Forreston; one son John of Lansing, Ill.; five grandchildren and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral arrangements are being completed at the DeGraff funeral home, Forreston.
