Death: Oct. 4, 1878

Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Served as a Private in the United States Army, Company D, 7th United States Cavalry. He was awarded his medal for service at Little Bighorn, Montana, on June 25, 1876. His citation reads, 'Brought water for the wounded under a most galling fire.' (bio by: K)
