EDWARD ALLEN, 89, of 3127 Benjestown, retired construction worker, died of pneumonia Monday at Methodist Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Friendship United Methodist Church in Millington with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. Southern Funeral Home has charge.
He was a member of AFL-CIO Local 1441.
Mr. Allen, the husband of Bernice Allen, also leaves three daughters, Dortha Mae Moore of Detroit, and Laquette Rivers and Estella Prescott, both of Memphis; a son, John E. Allen of Memphis; three sisters, Susie Reese, Katherine Crutchfield and Bessie Becton, all of Memphis, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
