CHESTER - Mrs. Mary Virginia Jones Williams, 79, died Friday, August 28, 2009, at Uni-Health in Rock Hill, S.C.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2009, at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte, N.C., with the Rev. Cecil Johnson officiating.

Born November 15, 1929, in Omega, Ga., Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late William (Bill) Jones of Omega Ga., and Elberta (Bert) Graham Cravey Fitzgerald of Ocilla, Ga.

Ginny was a graduate of Tift High School in Omega, Ga., and Draughns Business College in Atlanta, Ga. She began her work career at Caterpillar Tractor in Atlanta and spent over 30 years with Royal Insurance Company in Charlotte, N.C. with her eventual retirement.

Ginny was a long time resident of the Charlotte NC area, very active in various organizations with many friends in the Carolinas and in prior homes in Tega Cay SC, N Myrtle Beach, SC, Washington Township, NJ, Birmingham, Ala., New Orleans, La. and Omega,Ga.

She always kept her ties to her family and friends in South Georgia, especially amongst her extended farming family in Omega, Tifton and Fitzgerald, Ga.

She dearly loved her husband Ralph, her children, grandchildren and friends.

She loved spending time at the beach, to dance the Jitterbug and Shag to Carolina Beach Music at North Myrtle Beach SC. Ginny loved to shop at flea markets for antiques. She was well versed in the collectibles she had. Ginny's home displayed her hobbies, having an extensive collection of antiques and records of her favorite artists.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Sealy Culbertson of Chester, S.C.; and two sons, Michael Sealy of Waxhaw, N.C., and Richard Sealy of Belmont, N.C.; and five grandchildren, Eric Cameron Jones, Kelly Cain and Stephanie Sealy Taylor, all of Charlotte, N.C., Justin Sealy of Waxhaw, N.C., and Ashley Sealy of Ohio.

She was the widow of Ralph Hennessee Williams of Charlotte,NC who she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street in Chester, S.C.
