He was born on October 6, 1962 in Leitchfield.
He was a truck driver and was a member of Pine Knob Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Logsdon Basham of Leitchfield; two step-daughters, Gina Reed of Leitchfield and Crystal Mudd of Big Clifty; one step-son, Billy Mudd of Caneyville; his parents, Lynda (James) Dudgeon of Leitchfield and John Basham of Henderson; one brother, Kevin Basham of Caneyville; two sisters, Fleshia Mudd and Kim Parsons, both of Caneyville; one half-sister, Shanna; his maternal grandparents, Preston and Reba Noblett of Leitchfield. Also surviving are eight step-grandchildren and special friends and caregivers, Judy and Barry and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Revs. Jerry Vincent, Vernon White, and Frankie Tennison officiating.
Burial was in the Duff Cemetery.
