ELIZABETHTON STAR - Wed. April 5, 1967

Mrs. Susan Dugger, 97, of 608 North Lynn Avenue, Elizabethton, died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, following an illness of three years at the home of a daughter , where she had made her home since November.
She was a native of Johnson County and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Solomon Dugger, who died February 11, 1957.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lillie Dugger of the home, and Miss Myrtle Dugger of the home; a half- brother, David Bowman* of Route 1, Butler; a brother, Bob Dugger of Route 6, Elizabethton; a sister Mrs. Ada Grogan of Oregon; a number of grandchildren.
Tetrick Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Dugger - Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Dugger will be held 2 p.m. Thursday from the Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Walter St. Clair, Rev. Ray Cooper and Rev. Terry Hopson. Music by the Hardin Brothers Quartet. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home and at other times at the home, 608 North Lynn Avenue, Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be the following grandsons: Talmadge Bowman, Dana Bowman, Bill Bowman, Lloyd bowman, Carroll Bowman and Don Bowman. Honorary pallbearers will be neighbors of Marbleton Community. Interment will be at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Tetrick Funeral Home is in charge.

Susan's first husband was John Bowman and they had 2 children, Amanda Jane and David Clayton Bowman.
