Ruby Pearl Parker, 82, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
She was born Dec. 8, 1928, in Liberal, to John Drury and Viola Kolb Beck. She graduated from Liberal High School.
She married Clyde Brantley in 1945 in Liberal. He died in the late 1970s. She married Dillard Parker in 1981 in Elkhart. He died in 1989. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cheryl Scripter; a grandson; and two sisters, Fern Hesston and Jessie Cook.
Mrs. Parker had worked as a secretary for Southwest Public Service and also for a gas and phone company.
Survivors include a daughter, Leuticia Thompson of Lake Charles, La.; a stepson, Randy Parker of Elkhart; a brother, Bill Beck of Liberal; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at First Christian Church, Elkhart. Burial was. at Dudley Township Cemetery in Satanta.
