Mrs. Ray Haynes passed from this life on Friday, December 5, 1918, at the age of about 36 years.
Mary Minerva Gilliland was born March 30, 1882 and was married to Ray Haynes, May 29, 1906. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Gilliland and one of a family of six daughters and one son. Her mother preceded her death several years ago.
Mrs. Haynes has been ill with the influenza and had a weak Heart condition and could not with stand the strain, which the disease laid, upon her strength.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, three children, Biba age 11, Charles age 9 and Lottie age 7; five sisters, Mrs. A. C. Puffer of Tekamah, Mrs. A. J. McManigal, Mrs. Ben Klinger, Mrs. Dave Lane, and Mrs. James Mo (can't read) all of Blair and one brother, John Gilliland of Tekamah.
The funeral was held at the home on Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. W. H. Underwood and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.
