Anne graduated from MSU, and was a kindergarten teacher in several Lansing schools for 16 years and was a member of Matinee Musicale. She enjoyed traveling in northern Michigan, sewing Halloween costumes for her grandchildren, playing the piano, and genealogy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James White McGuffey, in 2004.
Surviving are:
son, Edward McGuffey of Lansing;
daughter, Jane (Lee Wallace) McGuffey of Lansing;
2 grandchildren, Sakélé (Thomas) Smith, and Nicole Wallace;
sister, Ruth Hoppe, M.D.; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held Friday, September 30, 2011, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
