Hazel Annabelle Johnson was born in St. Joseph, Daviess County, Kentucky on July 25, 1919. Her mother was Mary Maude Wedding and her father was Paul Charles Johnson. Hazel came from a large family that included (7) brothers; Claude, Cleveland, Martin, Bernard, Ivo, James and John. She also had (5) sisters; Mary, Cleo, Paula, Arlean, and Helen.
Hazel married Arnold Craig on Oct 19, 1937 and they resided in Owensboro, Kentucky. Hazel and Arnold had three children and six grandchildren.
Hazel worked for Brown Foreman Distillery for many years. After her 2nd husband died she moved to Pasco County, Florida. She worked as an office manager for an electrical company until she retired. She was a kind and generous person who was very devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, volunteering and spending time with her family.
Hazel attended Saint Aloysius Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky and St. Michael's Catholic Church in Florida.
