Mrs. Clara M. Wentworth Caster, longtime resident of Hardin county, Saturday of carcinoma at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Bartusek, in Mason City where she had gone for care some weeks ago; was the daughter of Augustus Wentworth, who settled in Hardin county, in Eldora township in 1856; mother was Joanna Crist, also among the early settlers; was one of seven children, of whom two sisters are left; married Charles Caster in 1894; leaves two children, Robert Caster, San Diego, Cal. who was with his mother in most of her illness, and the daughter, Mrs. Bartusek, three granchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Waddell, Marshalltown, and Mrs. Anna Smith who lives in Minnesota; was a 50 year member of the Rebekah lodge; had served in all of the offices; was also a member of Hardin county Three Quarters Century club; funeral was Monday; burial in the Eldora cemetery.
