Born in Staffordshire, England, he was best known as the third husband of actress Diana Dors and for being a popular figure on many British TV series. His television credits include "Fox Mystery Theater", "Lytton's Diary", "Crown Court", "The Saint" and "Z Cars". For feature films, he appeared in "Gypsy Girl" (1966), "Charlie Bubbles" (1967), "Slade in Flame" (1975), "The Playbirds" (1978) and "Yesterday's Hero" (1979). After his wife Dors' death from cancer, Lake fell into deep depression and committed suicide at the age 43 in Sunningdale, England.
