Wilma Winifred Curtis Aduddell was born to Rev. John W. and Dess Curtis on Sept. 28, 1917 at Calumet, OK. Wilma graduated from high school in Quemado, New Mexico. She married Herbert M. Aduddell on April 20, 1935. They had two sons, Herbert M. Jr., and Kendall L.
Wilma loved the Lord and chose to follow Jesus at an early age. She often sang and played the piano in the churches that her father pastored. She was a long time, active member of Lakeside Assembly of God. Wilma worked in the county treasurers office, 'Rosie the Riveter' at Tinker AFB, and also as a beautician.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert; one son, Kendall, and his wife, Donna; two sisters, Irene Wood and Rose Shields; four grandchildren, Christy and Jim Harger, Julie and Rob Shaff, Ken Jr. and Misti Aduddell, Curtis and Carla Aduddell; and eight great grandchildren.
A son, Herb Jr., her parents, two sisters and one brother, preceded Wilma in death.
Her services will be held on Thursday May 23, at 2:00 at the Lakeside Assembly of God Church on NW 122. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Rescue Mission at 2205 Exchange Ave., OKC 73108. Online tributes may be sent through www.mem.com.
