Mrs. Carrie E. Holmes, 92, a resident of Grandview Health Care of Titusville, died at 4:40 p.m. Dec. 30. Mrs. Holmes
was a patient there since Oct. 7, 1971. Mrs. Holmes, a former resident of Orchard St., Oil City, was born at Mayport, Dec. 25, 1886, the daughter of Michael and Sarah Kiehl Hinderliter. She was married to Joseph W. Holmes. He
died in 1919.

Mrs. Holmes was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Oil City while she resided there. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Katheryn) Collins of Cooperstown, RD 1, and Mrs. Charles (Ethel) Moyer of Aberdeen, Wash.; three sons, Theodore Holmes of Oil City; Mervin Holmes of Louisville, Ky.; and Boyd Sherry of Cool Springs; eighteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and
numerous nieces and nephews.

Four sons, a daughter, four brothers and four sisters died previously.

Friends may attend the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. today at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home with Rev. Thorn Johnstone, pastor of the Cherry tree Bible Church, officiating.
Interment will be in the Lamey Cemetery.
