He graduated from Amherst High School in 1933, and then enrolled at Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginiai in 1940, and then accepted an internship at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Dr. Ware married Martha Frances Wood.
He volunteered for service at the outbreak of World War II, and was assigned to the 104th Medical Battalion of the 29th Infantry Division.
Posthumously awarded the Purple Heart.
