SALISBURY - Ralph Junior Cress, 68, of 830 N. Pine St. died Thursday at his home.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Messiah Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Rowan Memorial Park.
A native of Rowan County, he was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired employee of the Life Insurance Company of Virginia. He was a member of the Couples Sunday School Class, a former member of the Church Council and a member of the Rowan Christian Men's Fellowship.
Surviving are wife, Mary Cline Cress; daughter, Mrs. Cathy Eller of Granite Quarry; son, William Kim Cress of Salisbury; sisters, Mrs. Marie Brooks, Mrs. Geneva Honeycutt, both of Spencer; brothers, Leon Cress of Atlanta, Marvin Cress of Spencer; three grandchildren.
