Hazel was born on August 26, 1916 in Frankford, Delaware, daughter of the late John and Lydia (Hudson) McGee.
She had worked in several sewing factories many years ago, and also at I.L.C. in Frederica where she did sewing on the spacesuits supplied to NASA.
Hazel hobbies included working in her yard where she would tend to her flowers, crocheting, doing needlepoint, sewing and making her own clothes.
She is also preceded in death by her two husbands Preston Workman in 1954 and John Weist in 1984, two sons Fred and Beverly Workman and a sister Hester Townsend.
Hazel is survived by a son Raymond Workman of Milford, three daughters Elizabeth Payton of Felton, Virginia Roop of Milford and Hester Farrell of Frederica, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, September 23 at the Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
