"Langan - Of 288 Ege Avenue, Jersey City, on April 19, 1950, Katherine, beloved daughter of Catherine (nee Devaney), and the late John Langan, devoted sister of Daniel, James, Charles and Bernard Langan and the late Anna Ayers. relatives and friends, also members of the Jersey City Teachers Federation are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Houghton Funeral Home, 976 Summit Avenue, corner Lincoln Street, Jersey City, Saturday, 8 a.m. Solemn high funeral mass, Our Lady of Victories R.C. church 9 a.m. Interment Holy Name Cemetery. Miss Katherine Langan, Retired Teacher, Dies. Miss Katherine V. Langan, 58, of 288 Ege Avenue, a retired Jersey City school teacher, died yesterday at the Medical Center of a heart ailment. She was admitted on April 6th. A native of Bayonne, she had resided in Jersey City ever since her childhood. Miss Langan was graduated from Public School 12 and Dickenson High School, Jersey city and then attended Jersey City Teachers Training School. she had taught at School 24 for the past 30 years and was a member of Jersey City Federation of Teachers. She leaves her mother, Mrs. Catherine Langan (nee Devaney) and four brothers, Daniel, James, Charles, and Bernard. her father, John and a sister, Mrs. Anna Ayers, predeceased her. her nephew, Rev. Campion, of the black Franciscan Order, will celebrate the requiem mass."
