Kathryn Elizabeth Huck, 90, of Scottsbluff, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at The Residency in Scottsbluff. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Wayne Alloway officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Kathryn was born March 31, 1921 in Lincoln, Neb. to Henry M. and Rebecca (Neiderhaus) Schwindt. She spent her youth growing up in Winside, Neb. until she moved to Bayard in 1937. She married Manuel Huck on Jan. 12, 1941 at Zion Evangelical Reform Church in Bayard. Kathryn was a loving and devoted wife and mother and the owner of Kay's World of Gifts in Scottsbluff. She enjoyed bowling, pinochle and bridge, and her doll club. She was an active member and held offices in B.P.O. Does, Drove #21 in Scottsbluff.
Kathryn is survived by her daughters: Donna (Ron) Block of Sun City West, Ariz. and DeEtta (Bob) Vrana of Lincoln, Neb.; grandchildren: Denise (Ron) VanAmburgh of Anthum, Ariz., Jason (Chris) Merritt of Lincoln, and Amy Merritt of Lincoln; step granddaughter: Lisa (Kyle) Hatch of Omaha; great grandchildren: Ron and Brittany VanAmburgh of Anthum, Ariz., Maddux William and Lily Catherine Merritt of Lincoln and Hudson Cole Hatch of Omaha; step-great-grandchildren: Payton, Molly, and Brooke Thornbrugh of Lincoln: sister-in-law: Helen Conklin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother: Albert Schwindt.
