Mrs. Leota Davis Botkin died at Ball Memorial Hospital early yesterday morning after a two-week illness. She was the wife of Elmer E. Botkin, widely-known Muncie attorney, of 505 Rex street. Born at Monrovia, Ind., she had been a Muncie resident for 55 years. Mrs. Botkin graduated from Muncie High School in 1895 and from Earlham College in 1898. She was a member of the High Street Methodist Church and of the Anthaneum Club.
The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the Meeks mortuary and the Rev. A. Wesley Pugh will officiate. burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary.
Surviving are the husband; one daughter, Mrs. Martha Botkin Coffin, teacher in McKinley Junior High School and a granddaughter, Judith Coffin, all of Muncie.
