| Birth: | Jun. 22, 1876 Milwaukee Milwaukee County Wisconsin, USA | | Death: | Apr. 3, 1941 |  Boxer Rebellion Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He enlisted into militray service at Milwaukee, Wisconsin and served as a Private, in the U.S. Marine Corps. During the Battle of Peking, China, June 20, to July 16, 1900, Private Young with others was dispatched as a guard and helped in erecting barricades to protect the city while fighting the invading rebel Boxers. For gallantry in the face of thenemy, he was awarded the Medal of Honor on July 19, 1901. He later achieved the rank of Sergeant Major. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
