Sally was the daughter of Joseph Hill and Betsie Hanson. She married John Tuttle December 17, 1835 and settled in the Canaan district of Strafford, New Hampshire. Her father deeded her a piece of property on Back Canaan Road, abutting his own property which was on Old Canaan Road that ran parallel. John and Sally farmed their homestead and had 11 children. Sally died April 23, 1909 at the age of 90 and was buried on the homestead property with her husband and son, John Henry.
