Thomas, a son of Brooks Moon Willingham, who was a County Commissoner of Polk Co., Ga.
He is Quoted as saying "The Highlight of My life was being a Confederate Soldier in Co. 1 of the 10th Texas Infantry before My 16th Birthday".
He went to War with Two of his Brothers, they were captured and sent to Camp Douglas, and after being there 60 Plus Days, escaped, and went on to fight in Georgia at The Battle of New Hope Church and The Battle of Atlanta. He was a Great-Grandson of John Willingham B. 1751 Va.
