Bern was the son of George Anthony O'Malley (1917-2000) and Lena May Foster. Brother of Mark Andrew O'Malley. Former husband of Ruth Ann Albright Schrock and step-father of Jerold Eugene Schrock, Cara Lynn Schrock Anderson, and Lisa Renay Schrock Geiger. He was honored to be the grandparent of Shane, Michael and Daniel Anderson.
He came of age in the 60's and was a veteran of the Viet Nam Era. He loved broad bold swatches of color. He enjoyed friendships from the heart and disliked leaving anyone off the guest list from his party of life. He enjoyed Big Band Music and Rosemary Clooney songs. And he dearly loved being a Catholic Boy.
