Alfred Lawrence Eriksen

Funeral services were Wednesday, September 27 at the Herman United Methodist church in Herman for Alfred L. Eriksen, 82 of Schuyler and formerly of Herman, who died at the Schuyler Memorial Hospital in Schuyler, Nebraska on Saturday evening, September 23, 1989. Rev. Larry G. Orvis officiated. Interment was in the Herman cemetery.

Alfred L. Eriksen was born August 11, 1907 at Herman, Nebraska to John Paul and Johanna Petersen Eriksen. He grew up on his parent’s farm west of Herman and attended Pleasant Hill School.

He married Lois Burgess Turney on June 19, 1968 at Fremont.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Eriksen of Schuyler; one sister, Anna Gould of Walden, Colorado; and one nephew, John Gould of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lorraine Brown Eriksen; one brother, Walter Eriksen, and one sister, Lilly Christoffersen.

Hamel & Peck was in charge of arrangements for the services.
