George Washington Anderson
Birth: May 22, 1822
Death: Feb. 26, 1902

US Congressman. He served in the Union Army during the Civil War, first as Colonel and commander of the Pike County Missouri Home Guards, then as Colonel and commander of the 49th Enrolled Missouri Militia. He was elected to represent Missouri's 9th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1865 to 1869.
