Lyle William Swann, 86, of Scott Depot, formerly of Barboursville, died Jan. 7, 2008, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. Born Nov. 25, 1921, in Huntington, he was a son of the late Elijah Homer and Helena Johannah Sprenger Swann. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Fredith Swann in 1992 and Margaret Groves Swann in 2007. He was a retired salesperson from Gould Battery, Huntington. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Minerva Lodge 13, Barboursville, Beni Kedem Shrine, Charleston, and American Legion Post 177, Barboursville. Survivors include daughters, Kathy Anastasio of Scott Depot and Karen Davies of Shalimar, Fla.; grandchildren, Kevin and Kristy Davies of New Jersey and Robert Anastasio of Scott Depot; and great-granddaughter, Jacey Davies. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in White Chapel Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mike Rader officiating. Friends may call 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery chapel. Donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to Shriners' Children's Burn Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.timeformemory.com/henson.
