Enlisted Sept. 12, 1861, and the regiment was a part of the Army of the Cumberland. Was in the Battles of Perryville, Ky.; Stones River, Chickamauga, Mission Ridge and Atlanta; was slightly wounded once and was discharged Oct. 10, 1864.
